Obituary for Kimberly Valerie DeRoller (Rolla)
ROCHESTER – October 20,2019 at the age of 72. Pre-deceased by her mothers, Gertrude (Graboski) Rolla (adopted) and Elsie (Landauer) Klug (Maternal) and her father, Paul P. Rolla, brother, Wayne Klug, Grandson, Nick Rolla and Granddaughter, Danielle Rolla. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Richard; children, Daniel (Roxanne), Stephen, Kathleen (Ray); grand-children, Michael, Haley, Brandon (Brenda), Brett, and Brittany; great-grand-children, Vincenza and Floretzia; sister-in-law, Nancy Klug and nieces Lindsay Marie (Evan) Kuite, Marsie Kristine (Brian) Surguine and Sarah Elizabeth Klug and dog, Ruggy.
Kim had a long career in nursing. She worked places like Monroe Community Hospital (Outreach), St. John’s Home, and lots of private duty care including hospice. Her patients ranged from babies (her favorite) to the elderly. She was very involved and attended funerals. She also had a love for dogs, cats and exotic birds.
Kim earned an A.S. as an LPN, a B.A in Human Services, and almost earned a M.A. in Human Services with a concentration in healthcare. She was just two courses shy of completing her master’s degree when she suffered a CVA (cerebrovascular accident).
