Jamie M. Trask passed away surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others throughout her life. She was a woman whose heart was vast, whose devotion to family was unwavering, and whose presence brought warmth into every room she entered.

Jamie was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, Rick. Their love story began in their teenage years and grew into a lifetime partnership rooted in loyalty, laughter, and deep friendship. Together they built a family that became Jamie’s greatest pride.

She was a devoted and loving mother to Nick and Zack. Her sons were the center of her world, the compass of her heart, and the joy of her everyday life. Nothing made her prouder than watching them grow into the men they became.

Her greatest delight in recent years was her role as “Grammie” to Zadyn, Brooklynn, and Wesley. Her grandchildren were her brightest lights and her biggest joy. She cherished every hug, every story, and every moment spent with them.

Jamie had a beautiful gift for loving others deeply. She made people feel seen, valued, and cared for. She found happiness in crafting, pouring creativity and care into everything she made, often creating handmade treasures for those she loved. Her hands were rarely still, and neither was her generous spirit.

She is predeceased by her father, Ronald J. Krug; her mother-in-law, Marilyn Trask; her father-in-law, Lawrence Trask; and her brother-in-law, Brian Doupe.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rick A. Trask; her sons, Nicholas A. Trask and Zachary R. (Jenee) Trask; her cherished grandchildren, Zadyn L., Brooklynn A. and Wesley R; her mother, Eileen C. Krug; her sister and brother-in-law, Renee (Joe) Bidwell; her brother and sister-in-laws, Scott & Sharon Trask; Brenda Doupe; Roxane & Ralph Bowering; and Tonia & Jim McDonald; along with many beloved nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Jamie’s life was a testament to love, devotion, and family. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable space in the hearts of those who knew her, the love she gave so freely will continue to ripple through generations. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the countless lives she touched.

A Tribute from Her Husband, Rick:

“When we were young, you used to grab my hand to check for my class ring, and if it wasn’t there, you would toss my hand away like I hadn’t passed inspection. One day I saw you sitting in the library. I picked up one of your books just to find your name. When I said it out loud and you looked at me with those beautiful eyes, I knew right then I was going to marry you. I knew we would have a wonderful life together. You always told me I was your rock. The truth is, Jamie, you were mine. We built a beautiful family together, and I promise I will stand strong for them. I will be the rock now. I will carry forward the love you gave us every day. I love you, my Jamie.”

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (3494 NY-31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027) Monday, February 23 at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Pennellville Fire Barn (3 Godfrey Rd., Pennellville, NY 13132).
