Obituary for William Conrad Koegler
Passed away peacefully on October 14, 2019 with his loving family by his side after years of health issues. He fought bravely all the while keeping his sense of humor, most always.
He is predeceased by his parents, Ansel and Dorothy Koegler. He is survived by his loving wife, Jody; daughters, Tammi (Steven) Hancock and Emily(Joe) Milliman; son, Zachary Koegler; grandchildren, Katherine and Kaidan Hancock and Nathan Miliman.
Family was the most important part of Bill's life. He enjoyed traveling with them, teaching histories of the various places visited, and appreciation of the wonders of nature. His grandchildren were the light of his life. They kept him entertained and loved him dearly.
Bill was intrigued with tracing his family's origins on Ancestry.com and learning even more through ancestor's journals. He started a Facebook group, "Things I remember about Pumpkin Hook", which now has almost 200 people who contribute stories and photos.
He loved writing and had hoped to write a children's book. During his many months of being bedridden, he managed to do all kinds of drawings that he could use for his stories.
We will always miss this kind, funny, and oh-so-witty man.
We welcome you to Bill's Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, November 23rd, 2-4 PM, at North Ontario United Methodist Church, 7200 Ontario Center Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Kindly consider donations in his memory to Happy Tails Animal Shelter, 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
