Obituary for John Edward Trudeau
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of John (Jay) E.Trudeau, on Friday, August 21, 2020.
Predeceased by his father, John I. Trudeau, Jr. Jay is survived by his daughter, Isabel Jay Trudeau of Canandaigua; mother, Barbara Scheg Trudeau of Rochester; brothers and sisters, Colleen (Jeff) DePuy of Concord, NC, Michelle (Franco) Carusone of Victor, NY, Michael Trudeau of Ogdensberg, NY, Thomas (Deborah) Trudeau of Rimini, Italy, Charles Trudeau of Rochester, NY, Christine (Chris) Mehrtash of Fairfax, VA; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Jack, Anthony, Michael, Alessandro, Brennen, Cole, Steven, Veronica, Christian, and Cameron. Jay is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jay loved being around family and friends, especially at large holiday celebrations. He loved growing up in the 19th Ward and was sentimental while reminiscing about the good ol’ days and old friends. He loved conversation, was extremely smart and would discuss most any topic.
Music was important to Jay. He loved attending the Rochester Jazz Fest and other local, outdoor concerts and festivals, especially with his daughter, Isabel.
Jay was an avid sports buff, loved the NY Yankees, Dallas Cowboys and attending Amerks and Red Wings games. He loved to golf and could fish all day.
Jay was a pizza chef and couldn’t resist the opportunity to make a pie for everyone when he had the chance. As a family we love our pizza and there was no better man for the job than Jay.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020, 11 AM, at St. Monica Church, 831 Genesee Street, Rochester.
