Obituary for Brian Charles Van Duser
Brian Charles Van Duser
Fairport, NY: January 20, 1965 - October 9, 2018
We are saddened by the loss of our brother Brian C Van Duser. He was 53 years young. The bond between siblings is unlike any other and we are heartbroken. This unbreakable, almost always unmentionable bond begins without warning, takes you on a journey of rough waters, isn’t always what you imagined or hoped for, but in the end it's one of the most powerful blessings to have.
Those who knew Brian, knew that he was a force to be reckoned with. Brian was a talented Auto Body Technician, gained from his experience at many auto body shops throughout the Rochester area. Through the years, he generated loyalty and a following and you knew who to call when you needed assistance with a vehicle. Some of his favorite projects included his own blue Mustang and his rebuild of Dad’s 1974 yellow El Camino.
He was proud of who he was and proud of his lifelong friends – friends that he grew up with and would bend your ear with the many stories of their escapades over the years. Brian also loved his family fiercely. He could argue a point with you one minute but express his love for you with the same equal passion just moments later. Brian’s mischievous grin and wholesome laugh impacted you - whether you knew him for years or mere seconds. We will miss him, love him, and remember him always.
Brian was predeceased by his mother, Gail (McGowan) Bennett and father, Robert Charles Van Duser . Brian is survived by his siblings Patricia (James) Pizzicato, Karen Van Duser (Daryl Micalizio), Robert (Christine) Van Duser and Dorie (Andrew) Janes as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will be honoring Brian with a ‘Celebration of Life’ Friday, December 28 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM at the Perinton Memorial VFW, 300 Macedon Center Road, Fairport, NY. Friends and Family are welcome to bring your thoughts, prayers and fondest memories and share them beginning at 6 p.m. Please join us in Celebrating Brian. Refreshments will be provided. Visit www.whiteoakcremation.com to express a condolence or to share a memory of Brian online. In lieu of flowers, we will collect items from Lollypop Farm’s Wish List Donations site at: https://www.lollypop.org/get-involved/give-today/wish-list/ - an organization that was near and dear to Brian.
