Ronald M. Levy passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024 at the age of 86.
Most people knew him as Ronnie or Uncle Ronnie. He was born in Rochester and grew up in Brighton. He lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, attending antique auto shows and working on projects that included model airplanes, ships and cars. Whether it was spending time with his family or telling stories from his childhood, Ronnie always made time for a cup of coffee. He liked to tinker and fix things, attend the drag races in Fulton, NY and had a keen interest in trains. As a teenager, he borrowed $75 from his brother and bought his first car, a 1931 Ford Model A 2-door coupe, with a rumble seat, before he had a driver's license.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Lottie Bernas; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Janice Levy; nephews, Brian (Lorraine) Levy, Andrew (Lorena) Levy; great-nieces, Meghan, Lindsay, Courtney, Nikole and Rachel; great-nephew, Michael. Predeceased by his parents Nate and Goldie Levy and niece Kimberly (Levy) Fitzsimmons.
Ronnie was a kind and gentle soul, with a deep heart. He was always available to lend a hand when needed. To say that he will be dearly missed isn't enough. Ronnie touched the hearts of anyone he met.
A private family memorial will be held in his honor at a later date.
