Lauren Elizabeth Yost, age 54, passed away November 12, 2024 from the complications of dementia.
Predeceased by her father, Jim Yost, Lauren is survived by her mother, Carol Yost; brothers, Brett (Pearl Stark) and Kyle (Laura); her nieces, Penny and Megan and nephew, Carter; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Laurie lived a full life enjoying the company of her family, and her many friends in the community. Laurie attended School of the Holy Childhood and participated in its workshops including the Special Touch Bakery. For three decades she lived at the Catholic Charities group home on Newcastle Road and attended the day program at the Cobblestone Art Center. The family is grateful to all these groups who enabled Laurie to live a busy and happy life among caring staff and friends. We also extend our profound gratitude for the end of life care Lauren received from the Palliative Care nurses and staff at Highland Hospital.
