Obituary for H. Charles Unison
Pittsford: At age 86, passed on May 28, 2018, with his loving wife, Barbara Reifler at his side. He’s survived by his brother, John D. Unison (Hilde); daughters, Amy Schlaf (Dan) and Wendy Pace (Eston); grandchildren, Andrew Schlaf, Nicole Gaskins (Jeremy), David, Michael, and Jeremy Schlaf, Spencer and Kyle Jones, Bruce Flores; great-granddaughter Lily Gaskins, and step-daughters, Margery Kimbrough (Matthew), Cynthia Flores (Pedro), and Angela Jones (Griffin).
He served in the United States Navy, and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He had the pleasure of participating in Honor Flight #44, and, fittingly, his passing was on Memorial Day.
There will be a celebration of his life on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 9:30 am at Temple Sinai (363 Penfield Rd., Rochester, NY 14625) in the “card room,” where he spent many happy hours playing Bridge. He had been a Life Master since 1987. In lieu of flowers, his wish was that contributions in his memory be made to Rochester Childfirst Network (www.rcn4kids.org), 941 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620
